The Prince and The Pea

Mum sent off on the internet for an extra large luxury bed, it was very comfy, but I kept rolling off it.
Then Mum and Dad went out and bought me an even bigger one, with sides, but it was too wobbly, I didn't like it.
So they popped them both together, and it was perfect!!
See I knew they would get it right, if I just looked sad enough....
Its evergreeen tarten ,and beige and brown Mum said the colours all went funny, under the lights.

Run & Play till Sunset

Fields to Run in.....

I love running through these fields, chasing everyone,( Chase counter today; 2 Foxes, 4 Rabbits, 1 Pheasant) and apart from the rabbit treats, which I've sicked up in the back anyway, I'm hungry now, so its always nice to go home for breakfast.

Snow Play

Last Night I saw Snow for the first time, its wonderful, but cold on the paws.
This morning I played in the garden and enjoyed the alfresco bird poo ice lollies, ( which I really don't like that much), but I just love to see Mums reaction and she chases me which is always fun too.
Apart from the lollies, snow really doesnt taste of much really, but its fun to jump and roll in.

Prince Progress Report.

Heres our boy, tired out after a full day, I'm afraid Poppy censored the second picture, as she thought it unappropriate for puppy internet viewers.

Prince is progressing well we finally got his tummy under control, which is great news, and he is proving a complete Star around the house and home.

Dad has a few problems when we let him off the lead, as he now wants to meet everyone and every dog he sees. Although he is totally friendly and doesn't jump or paw people, we realise not everyone is overjoyed to see a black streak of joyous pup tanking towards them, and the serious issue of no recall when road crossing could be involved, will have to be resolved somehow for safetys sake.

We just love him.

Poppy, Wags & Licks

Two Small Walks for Poppy..

Thank you all for your kind comments and well wishes, I'm Gradually getting better. I 've gone from being unable to get myself up without being lifted to my paws, to taking two 'slow but sure', little walks a day. This has cheered me up no end, as most patients will know, a hospital bed, no matter how comfortable gets to be a pretty boring place. Mind you that doesn't stop Mum keep puttting me back into it though, at every opportunity I think I have of escape. If I didn't know better I'd swear to it she has canine hearing senses, and Dad says, she has eyes in the back of her head, but I don't believe that!, as I've never seen any!
Oh, by the way, you small toy dogs have the canine gormet snacks maket really cornered! I found out this vital information, when I was off my food. Dad disappeared to the magic shops, and returned with the most delicious snacks to temp me, and they did, and these were specially made for you smaller girls and boys, You Lucky Dogs!

Labradors have Stress Relieving Ears!

Mum has to visit the horsepital today, and has been taking full advantage of labrador stress relief. I know how she feels, I dread a Vets visit. We may not be brilliant at spelling, but labradors are the perfect calming influence, in an owners life.. Omm, woofy, omm

Lab Detective

Its been raining off and on all day here, its pretty miserable typical English weather. Still there's always a bright spot, its big weekly shop day, Saturdays, and the highlight of my day is when all the carriers of food are lined up on the kitchen floor. Its my solemn duty as ‘spider checker‘, to sift through the bags as thoroughly as possible before they are unpacked. I always like to do this when Mums out of the room, as I feel I don't wish to alarm her unduly, should find an eight legged interloper.
